Color

The diamond color is based on the absence of color. A chemically pure and structurally perfect diamond is colorless and allows more light to pass through than a colored diamond, giving you the wanted sparkle.

D	Absolutely colorless and extremely rare
E	Colorless, a high-quality diamond
F	Rare White +, still considered colorless
G	Rare White, color noticeable when put next to high value stones
H	White, color noticeable but still an excellent stone
I	Slightly tinted white +, near-colorless with slightly detected color
J	Slightly tinted white, near-colorless with slightly detected color

Shape

Diamond shape states the appearance of the stone you are looking at, it doesn’t refer to the qualities of the stone. When picking the shape, it’s all about your personal preference.

Clarity

Diamonds are the result of carbon exposed to tremendous heat and pressure. So, when a rough stone is produced or mined tiny traces of natural elements are almost always trapped inside. This process can result in a variety of internal and external flaws which make each stone unique.

IF	Internally Flawless no internal flawless under 10x magnification
VVS1	Very very slightly internal flaws. Very difficult to see under 10x magnification
VVS2	Very very slightly internal flaws just slightly more than VVS1
VS1	Very small internal flaws. Can’t see with naked eye.
VS2	Very small internal flaws just slightly more than VS1. Typically, cannot see with naked eye.
SI1	Small internal flaws that are visible under 10x magnification but may not be visible with unaided eye.
S12	Small internal flaws that are visible under 10x magnification but may not be visible with unaided eye. Slightly more internal flaws than SI1.
